Rick has spent over 20 years in college administration, as an administrator (2), coach (11) and as a director of athletics (8). His intimate knowledge of the recruiting process, combined with his knowledge of admissions and the financial aid maze gives his clients a unique perspective and insight into the process.

As managing partner of College-Advocates and College Lacrosse Advisors, Rick's passion for finding the right school and making it affordable is his mission. As a Certified College Funding Specialist, Rick leaves no stone unturned in making sure the student and their family are satisfied with the direction they have chosen.

Having coached lacrosse for 40 seasons, and after serving as a college administrator / coach for 15 of those years, there is not much I haven’t seen.  Also, having been on the other side of the “curtain” gives me a unique perspective on how the process works, and how you can avoid some of the traps so keenly set by college admissions departments. College-Advocates role is to help you navigate those shark infested waters, and in the process save a significant amount on the cost of a college education.

 I work with families to help them save ON the cost of college versus FOR the cost of college.  Today there are two distinct prices for a college education … the price for the “informed” versus the price for the “uninformed”.   With the cost of a four-year private college education today exceeding $250,000 (per child), it is no wonder that the ability of affording college today is parents’ number 1 concern.  College-Advocates are here to help alleviate some of that concern with strategies to help guide your family to fundamentally sound decisions in selecting the right college for your child and saving your retirement in the process.
